Joanne Sherman, affectionately known as "Joey," was raised in a large Italian family with 10 children. The kitchen was a tremendous part of their lives, as Joey's mother prepared enormous meals daily. A quick study in her mother's kitchen, Joey followed her mother's culinary prowess and turned her attention to baking. She rapidly moved up the ranks in the bakery department of the second largest supermarket chain in the Chicagoland area, and eventually moved on to focus on her own creations. Over the years, Joey honed her skills and developed her own signature tastes that are celebrated in many baking goods...most notably, Joey's cookies.
